
Howard’s career spans over 26 years of experience in finance, banking and commercial real estate. His motivation always being to help the little guy compete with the big guys.
He is currently a partner at Cap Ex Commercial, where he is focused on tenant representation, debt and equity, and general commercial brokerage services in Maryland with a national and international network.
Prior to starting Cap Ex Commercial in May 2017, Howard was Director of Operations and Asset Management for a private REIT, American Real Estate Partners, where he managed an annual $100 million budget, helped close and manage loans in excess of $300 million and oversaw more than $100 million in equity raises.
Between 1995 and 1998, Howard ran Pratt Street Capital, a capital firm lodged in Corridor Reznick, a commercial real estate brokerage in Baltimore. Howard managed 22 properties located throughout Maryland and Virginia worth over $100 million, assisted in raising equity for deals, managed all internal and third party investors, as well as reporting to all partners, lenders, tenants, and communicating with property vendors.
He also draws on his experience working for Townsend Capital, Corinthian Realty Partners, and Bank Brussels Lambert where he was fully credit trained and sold dozens of private and public companies as well as underwrote, leveraged, and managed buyout.
Howard earned a Masters degree in International Business from Johns Hopkins SAIS, is a 1984 graduate of Gilman School in Baltimore, MD, and is proud to have served as President of the Alumni Board and on the Board of Gilman School for a three-year term.
Howard lives in Maryland with his wife and two children. Outside of his career, he is a regular presenter on wine as a member of the Maryland Opera Board.
